This page is great for kids. If they are old enough to walk and young enough to still have an imagination, this is a great place for them to explore. There are several different stations where the can play everything from police, doctor, vet, dentist, Cafe, bank, etc.
If you live near, the membership is absolutely worth it! It’s a great place to go if the weather unpleasant since it is all indoors.

Good place overall, I just dont like that their admission is timed. You can only stay for 2 hours. So it was difficult for me to get my daughter out of there. Other than that, it’s a good place for kids, they’re generally clean

This was my first time here and I really enjoyed my experience! The park is nice except for places where there was some visible trash around, in the grass and water. The park has a nice, big covered pavilion and plenty of geese hanging around looking for food! The trail is a nice walk and there are plenty of places to sit down and relax when it may be needed. There is a time machine along the path. You may enjoy walking around the lake walk – Lake Lanier, and sitting on a bench swing. The park has a playground, tennis courts, a fishing dock and is dog friendly.

The playground was a little small but the area was nice with multiple areas to sit and have a meal and relax by the lake. Areas to walk right next to the water and feed ducks and mallards. Large pavilion to have events..not sure if there is a fee…this was our first time. Several benches along the waterway. You can even walk out on the docks and fish. Saw several tennis courts and nature trails past the lake area.

Sometimes smaller is better.
I have memberships to the Atlanta botanical garden, which allow you to attend events, at two different locations. The Gainesville location is significantly smaller, but it also has less of a crowd, so when you’re walking around, in the pandemic era, you feel more comfortable.
No, you won’t get to see the variety of events as well as plants at this location, as you would at downtown Atlanta. But it is a nice place to come to to enjoy some garden type events without the crowds.

Beautifully designed garden, We loved it! Lots of nice resting areas with benches and a swing. Beautiful and interesting plants! The children’s garden was fun! Nice paths in the native woods, we took the Holly Ridge Trail. Most plants were labeled. The gift shop was nice too, but quite small, but they had great things in it. We could hear frogs calling from the pond.

Lovely garden, cute sculptures really like the metal musicians that move in the wind. Peaceful, never too crowded (the main garden in atlanta is more touristy and loud), the staff is friendly and never had any issues here. Strongly recommend and it’s much cheaper than the Atlanta one only about 8 bucks

This is a little late and I do apologize. Now I don’t usually leave reviews so if I do its because I was really impressed with my visit. My friend and I went on Super Sunday (a free day) we enjoyed the museum and learning about the local history. I am a fairly new resident to Georgia and he is visiting from South Africa I thought it would be a good idea to experience it together. We were impressed with the reception lady. Her name is Paula and she gave us a mini tour since it was our first time there and gladly answered all of our questions. We checked out the gift shop and bought a few things to remember the day. We stayed a little longer to talk to Mrs. Paula she was good spirited and has a good sense of humor. In my opinion she brings life to the North Georgia History Center. Mrs. Paula please don’t ever change. I plan on coming back and bringing my family hopefully Mrs. Paula will be there when I do. Thank you Mrs. Paula for your hospitality.

Our family visited this History center for the first time and WOW!! We loved our visit. We visited on a special family day for Christmas and our kiddo took a picture with Santa. The Center has the perfect amount of exhibits to keep your interest. We will visit again.

This area is a nice are to walk and you can let your kids play on the amazing playground that is there. The trail is a nice and relaxing walk and has lots of interest facts along the way that will keep the kids interested in the walk. Right now it is decorated for Christmas and is very festive and exciting.

The trails are good, but they definitely need to put more mulch and grass down as its really muddy everywhere including the playground.
I rated it a 4 star due to the the Christmas advertising they did with the Santa Village, North Pole, lights, etc… they way they worded it online made it seem as if it was going to be something amazing and when going it definitely was a let down.
