The size and convenience of this park is great. I used to go to Meridian before they started closing the gym at 5PM. I would go out of my way to go to this park/gym because they are more flexible on hours and had a friendlier staff. The gym was in good shape. Outside of the gym being occupied sometimes, I managed to work around the schedule and find time to make it work out for my family and I. In addition, they didn’t stress walking the dogs around the park which made it ever better. A lot of traffic and soccer games, but that is expected.

Frisbee / Disc golf fairly easy to play. Nice shade for summer months. No hazards, just trees. Could only find 9 Holes. Not a full 18 hole course. Starts between the two building with two garage doors.

I enjoyed my visit and learned a few new-to-me stories about my town. It is an excellent way to glimpse into Monroe’s past. The museum exhibits flow cohesively. The displays are well-made and it is obvious that a lot of hard work went into each one. My favorite is the Michael Etchison exhibit – it is a wonderful memorial and dedication to his life, service, and sacrifice. Admission is free, but they accept donations.

For this time of year STOP and SEE the lights. It’s worth the trip. Walk the park, about 1/2 mile long and see the display of the 12 Days of Christmas. Great family fun. I’ve never seen it to crowded. Bring the camera and holiday cheer. Plan for the weather.

I love the dog park here. Its so quiet and a great place for my dog to learn to socialize with other pups. Just watch out for the copperheads!
